Conclusion
You need to purchase an Ender-3 3D Printer and a spool of PLA filament. It's about $200 in total. That's it, other than a computer and an internet connection!
The short answer is, kind of. We have designed this video series around the Ender-3, not the Ender-3 pro or other 3D printer models. That said, our 3D modeling CAD course is usable by everyone! If you already have a printer, we recommend taking our 3D CAD course!
There is absolutely no experience is necessary to complete this course. It is designed to take you step-by-step through each and every step without skipping anything. By the end, you will not only have a working Ender-3, you will have a thorough understanding of the anatomy of your printer!
We recommend setting your printer up away from flammable materials on a dedicated desk or shelf away from animals, small children, and other possible hazards. Please follow all manufacturer's safety guidelines (that come with the printer).
It has a footprint of about 1.5 feet x 1.5 feet x 1.5 feet. It's about the size of a standard microwave.
Yes we do! Please request our class from your school and we will work to get set up, if we are not already. [email protected]
You will need to download Cura, a free program that allows you to turn 3D files into printable objects. We have a lesson on how to download and use it in this course. Download it here
You will need to purchase plastic filament (about $20) from time to time as you run out. The filament typically lasts for a month or more, depending on how much you print. You may also need to perform maintenance on your machine and replace components that wear out. This is beyond the scope of this class as it is typically not required for many months or years after purchasing your machine.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with our videos, send us a note and we will refund you. We put over 150 hours into making the best possible course and we certainly do not want unsatisfied customers.
This class is designed to take you step-by-step through the assembly process of an Ender-3 3D Printer, helping you build it correctly the first time. You will learn everything you need to know to make a successful 3D print. A well set up machine will print beautifully and reliably for years, setting you up for success as an engineer, maker, or 3D printing expert.
